ABOUT ME

My name is Scot Speranza. I grew up in a small town outside of New York City where during high school I discovered my interest in photography. After high school, I moved away to attend and later graduate from St. Bonaventure University. I am now back in my hometown and enjoy going out and shooting every chance I can.

I fell in love with photography because with a simple twitch of my finger I can immortalize any subject. I have always had a passion for sports and was always hoping to one day be a part of the industry, photography lets me do that in a very exciting way. I can take a picture of an athlete and solidify that moment in history, the game-winning three-pointer, the high flying dunk. It puts me right in the action, taking photographs of the athletes up-close and personal, being able to view all the emotions that they display, and all the passion they play with. I love capturing that passion. Landscape photography soothes my very being. Looking at a photo with large looming mountains or pristine, glassy water, makes your feel the steadiness and the strength of them. Not to mention that even the setup and time it takes to set up the shot you're also able to take that moment in. I like to go out for sunset shoots and then stay well into the night when most of the town is asleep. The calmness and quietness make for great clarity.
